Green Infrastructure Approach, cont. (2:10 p.m.)
Presenter: Marie Walkiewicz, BES
Description: Follow-up discussion to the September 26 meeting presentation on the green infrastructure network, focusing on stormwater management and habitat enhancement. Policy questions to be addressed include:

  • How can the planning and design of infrastructure be better integrated to achieve a green network?
  • For Comprehensive Plan purposes, how should the green infrastructure network be defined?
  • How is a green infrastructure network integrated with other Comprehensive Plan elements?

Flexible Streets and Street by Street Programs (2:40 p.m.)
Presenter: Denver Igarta and Christine Leon, PBOT
Description: Presentation on application of flexible street standards in the Cully neighborhood how such standards could be applied to other areas in the City with unimproved streets.  Followed by group discussion on the following policy questions:

  • Should the Comprehensive Plan provide for flexible street standards?
  • Where and how should flexible street standards be applied/not applied?
  • How can equity objectives be achieved with flexible standards?
  • What are the implications of applying flexible standards to all street classifications?
