The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) and the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) are currently forming advisory committees related to the Comprehensive Plan Update. We are seeking applications from individuals with the ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse perspectives and experiences.
Due to the high level of interest, not all interested parties will be able to participate. Applications will be reviewed by staff. Final appointment to the advisory committees will be made by the BPS Director or the PBOT Director. BPS will strive to create a committee of diverse membership, including but not limited to subject area experts, neighborhood groups, business and institutional associations, people with disabilities, communities of color and other interest groups.
Scope of Work
Advisory groups are convened to advise project staff and other city officials, but are not decision-making bodies. All advisory committee meetings are open to the public. Check the Comprehensive Plan Update calendar to verify meeting times and places.
To help ensure equal access to City programs, services and activities, the City of Portland will provide translation, reasonably modify policies/procedures and provide auxiliary aids/services/alternative formats to persons with disabilities. For accommodations, translations, complaints, and additional information, please notify us no fewer than five (5) business days before an event by phone, 503-823-7700; by TTY line at 503-823-6868; or by the Oregon Relay Service at 711.
