Value It Green Home Tour
Did you know that 40% of all new homes sold in Portland are green? This is no longer a trend, it's something every real estate professional needs to know.

Green is no longer a lifestyle: it's a synonym for healthy, quality construction that is available at all price points. The 2014 Portland Value It Green Home Tour has been specifically created for professionals involved in pricing, selling, and valuing homes and accessory dwellings. Buses will transport attendees across Portland to the latest cutting edge green homes and ADUs while guided by industry experts.

  • See the newest finishes and green technologies.
  • Learn how to effectively market and sell a green home.
  • Visit new and remodeled green homes (+ ADUs) in popular and up-and-coming neighborhoods.
  • Understand how green certifications ensure higher quality construction
  • Understand the differences between all the "green" brands out there.
  • Make sure you can talk to your clients about what makes a green home green.
  • Make sure you can tell your clients about the short term and long term financial value of a green home.
  • Be able to explain exactly how a green home is also a healthier home.

PDX FutureGreen Party

The party kicks off with regional wines, delicious hors d'oeuvres and an open bar to recap the days tours. A DJ will spin tunes and leading green building VIPs from the area will say a few words about the future of green building in Portland:

  • KEYNOTE: Jules Bailey – Multnomah County Commissioner
  • Aaron Fairchild – CEO, Green Canopy
  • David Cady – Owner, Performance Homes - Hillsboro green developer
  • David Heslam – Executive, Director, Earth Advantage
  • Derek Smith – CEO, Clean Energy Works
  • Eric Lemelson – Owner, Lemelson Vineyards
