Contents of Update Packet #166 (effective 02/13/15)
This Code Update is the result of new regulations for accessory short-term rentals (ASTRs) in multi-dwelling structures (Ordinance No 186976), and also continues the formatting-update process, which will be implemented as future code updates are made.

Substantive Changes (all in 33.207):
- Allows ASTRs in multi-dwelling structures and multi-dwelling development (currently only allowed in single-dwellings, duplexes, and accessory dwelling units)
- Sets a cap that limits the number of ASTRs per building to 1 unit or 25 percent of all units, whichever is greater.
- Requires property owner’s signature, if resident/applicant is not the property owner, on all ASTR permit applications.
Note: This packet incorporates the new template for zoning code formatting. These changes are intended to improve overall readability and use fonts that are more compatible with online viewing.
