Communications

Service Description

High-speed access to the public internet from all authorized servers and workstations in City government.

 

Included Service Features (included in the standard cost)

  • Communications provides :

    • Support for all standard Internet services including web, news, mail, etc., to the extent they conform to City security policies.
    • High availability connectivity to two Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
    • Internet network bandwidth adequate to support response time requirements for current City business applications (currently two 500Mbps connections).
    • Guest WiFi Internet access from selected City locations.
    • Maintenance and upgrades of Internet related network infrastructure.
    Troubleshooting and problem solving for Internet connectivity related issues (Guest WiFi client issues are the responsibility of the end user).

Billable Service Features (not included in the standard cost)

Internet network infrastructure or bandwidth upgrades required to support new business initiatives or applications.

Customer Responsibilities

Abide by City Admin rules concerning Internet access.

 

Service Hours, Support and Scope

Standard support available during business hours 8:00am - 5:00pm M-F

 

Service Level Targets

99.99% uptime for Internet availability.

To initiate service, you can do one of the following:
