Service Description

Design, planning, implementation, installation   and daily operations and maintenance of audio/video systems  and other systems as required.

Included Service Features (included in   the standard cost)

Communications provides installation, maintenance, and repair of the equipment and systems listed below, (as well as estimates for those services)

  • Two hours of consulting services for new project requests.
  • Maintenance and repair of Video Surveillance, Audio/Visual and Intercom   systems
  • Software updates and programming of networked video systems
  • Video, Audio and Intercom systems consultation and   User Training.

Billable Service Features (not included   in the standard cost)

  •  Includes   but not limited to:
  • Video surveillance system installation and   maintenance including stand alone Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and   Networked Video Recorders (NVRs) for interior and exterior facility   monitoring
  • Video projector/screen installations including the   installation of interface cabling and systems to allow multi-media and computer interfacing
  • Intercom systems and audio/visual systems -   Installation and maintenance
  • Facility intercom systems - Installation and   maintenance
  • Facility duress alarm systems - Installation and   maintenance
  • CATV cabling installation (cable TV service is   provided by Comcast and must be arranged for separately)
  • Flat screen TV installation of any size (note: all   of installs meet regional seismic bracing requirements.) This includes   interfacing with any type of media desired.
  • Custom installations of video systems in mobile command posts, operations trailers,   or any other type of vehicle. This includes everything from surveillance   cameras, DVR’s, flat screen TVs, sewer cameras, satellite systems, etc. 
  • Comm /Data   center rack and cabling installations for all communications equipment to   include DC power plant and DC power distribution. 
  • Rate Sheet FY 14 - 15

Customer Responsibilities

  • Abide by City Admin rules concerning use   of City Property/Resources
  • Provide service request and detailed   description of services needed with Bureau   Management Approval

Service Hours,  Support and Scope

The scope is all Video, Audio and Intercom systems for The City of Portland   and other Public Safety/Service agencies inMultnomahCounty.

Standard support during business hours 7:30 a.m. – 4:00   p.m. M-F.  Critical Video Surveillance systems   can get after hour support by calling 503-823-4338 to page an on-call   technician

Service Level Targets

3 hour response to critical system failures and 24 hour (or next business day) for non-critical systems
