NEWS RELEASE 9/29/13: PF&R Removes Trapped Victim From Vehicle

At 9:10am Portland Fire & Rescue responded to a roll-over accident on I-5 at the south bound City Center exit. Station 1 (Old Town) arrived and found a car on its top with one trapped victim inside. A hose line was pulled in case the vehicle caught fire. Fire crews used hydraulic extrication equipment to remove the door and free the individual. The patient was extricated at 9:25am and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident was brought under control at 9:30am. No other injuries were reported. More information will be given as it becomes available.
