Are you interested in becoming a Neighborhood Tree Steward? This month and next, Portland Parks & Recreation is offering an extended schedule of Tree Steward classes, taught by a variety of tree experts.

Urban trees provide benefits that our fundamental to our city's livability, including cleaner air and water, cooler streets and homes, and essential wildlife habitat. We're known for our large expanse of urban trees.Neighborhood Tree Steward program

Today, Portland is home to thousands of trees and more than 10,000 acres of parks and natural areas.

Hands-on activities will teach you about tree biology, pruning, planting, care, regulations, and tricks of the trade to organize community involvement.
