The 22nd Annual Columbia Slough Regatta is happening this Sunday, August 7th

The Columbia Slough Regatta is returning for its 22nd annual on-the-water festival honoring Portland’s hidden waterway – the Columbia Slough!

This Sunday, over 400 people will meet at St. Johns Launch to paddle the slow-moving waterway with their kayaks and canoes. It is great for both first-time paddlers and experienced boaters.

The wetland waterway is an essential habitat for bald eagles, fish, turtles, otters, and other wildlife.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to tour St. Johns Prairie, a former landfill site, and enjoy live music featuring the Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising Band.

Check out the Columbia Slough Watershed Council’s website for more information about this fun event.
