Multnomah County Circuit Court Remote Access for Restraining Orders
Video conferencing for establishing restraining orders is now available at the Gateway Center.
The Gateway Center Navigators can help participants fill out restraining order applications and help answer questions about safety issues and concerns. Navigators can also provide information about how the courthouse works, determine if a restraining order is the safest route, create a personalized safety plan, and assess whether other services are needed.
Please call 503.988.6400 for more information, or you may walk-in anytime between Monday and Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM to speak with a Navigator. A Navigator will always be available during the week to speak with you.
About Video Conferencing
The Gateway Center's video conferencing equipment was generously provided by a grant from the Mount Hood Cable Regulatory Commission. This equipment allows you interact with a judge through a TV or computer and saves you the time and hassle of going downtown to the Mulnomah County courthouse. It also is designed so that you feel more safe and less intimidated as you access legal services.
