This month at the Bike Lunch and Learn:
Prioritize Portland! A Geo-Survey of Active Transportation Needs in East Portland & Cully
presented by David Hampsten, East Portland Action Plan Bicycle Subcommittee and Hazelwood Neighborhood Association Transportation Chair
Imagine: the City has told your neighborhood association or community group it wants to build $8 million dollars’ worth of new sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, and bikeways. What are your residents' priorities about where they should go?
This presentation offers an overview of the Prioritize Portland! Project, which is assembling a set of tools to help groups create prioritized project lists that planners and engineers can use. Preliminary results from the current Prioritize Portland! geo-survey, recently featured in Bike Portland, will be presented, as well as how the survey data will be used for upcoming neighborhood workshops in the fall.
