December 19, 2013 | KGW.com-- Portland city council is considering some changes to disabled parking downtown.
Currently, anyone with a disabled parking placard can park all day in metered spots without paying. Commissioner Steve Novick will introduce a resolution to put a three-hour limit on those spots.
Novick hopes the change will free up spaces for people who want to shop.He told KGW the response from the disabled community has been positive.
