March 23, 2014 | katu.com-- PORTLAND, Ore. - A deadly stretch of road in Portland along SE 136th Ave is getting a makeover that neighbors say will save lives.
The area stretches between Holgate and Powell. Neighbors have seen many close calls, too many accidents to count, and just about two years ago, saw a 5-year-old girl die trying to cross the road to her home.
"I am tickled pink that they're getting this done," Betty Snorgrass told KATU News.
She lives along the busy road with her son Jeremy. They were both so excited that Jeremy wrote KATU the following email asking us to share the good news.
