Martha Pellegrino has been lobbying for the City of Portland since 2005. In 2010, she was appointed Director of Government Relations and oversees the city’s federal, state, and intergovernmental lobbying efforts. Over the years, she has led the city’s advocacy on a wide range of issues including transportation, public safety, water, environmental services, public finance, emergency preparedness, 9-1-1, education funding and affordable housing.
Martha received her J.D. from University of Oregon School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar, Oregon Women Lawyers, and the Capitol Club. She sits on the Boards of the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics and the Center for Women, Politics and Policy. When not travelling to the U.S. or Oregon capitols, she enjoys frequenting Portland’s many farmers markets with her spouse Alisa and cheering on the Portland Thorns and Portland Pilots soccer teams.
