Find out what is going on in your neighborhood and with the City of Portland's world renowned neighborhood system.  The Calendar of Events is where you will find information about upcoming neighborhood meetings, community events and volunteer opportunities.  Events are listed by district so you can look at all the events going on in the city or just for your part of town. 

ONI Blog will give you the latest news regarding the City's Office of Neighborhood Involvement as well as other items of interest to community members involved in the neighborhood network or if you prefer you can get this same information by following us on Facebook or Twitter.   News in the Neighborhoods will connect you to the Neighborhood Coalition's websites for news and information particular to their geographic area of the city.

    Lower Powell Green Street and Sewer Repair Project Update: September 29, 2016

    Work continues on an Environmental Services project to replace and repair 4,508 feet of aging sewer pipe. The work includes constructing 22 green street planters and planting trees to absorb rain and reduce stormwater runoff. The project will keep about 1.6 million gallons of stormwater out of sewers annually, increase sewer system capacity and reduce basement backups.

    News Release: Sunday Parkways celebrates the new Sellwood Bridge, downtown Milwaukie

    This Sunday, the City of Portland Sunday Parkways presented by Kaiser Permanente will celebrate the new Sellwood Bridge and introduce thousands of people to walking and biking connections to downtown Milwaukie.

    Piedmont Sewer Repair Project Update: September 29, 2016

    Environmental Services continues construction on the Piedmont Sewer Repair Project. This work will help protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of costly breaks, leaks, blockages and sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.

    SE Hawthorne-Salmon Area Green Street and Sewer Project: September 29, 2016

    Crews will continue to work on Saturdays to complete some phases of green street construction in multiple locations

    Humboldt Sewer Repair Project Update

    Environmental Services will begin construction this fall on a project to repair or replace over 17,000 feet (over 3 miles) of public sewer pipes in the Humboldt neighborhood. This work will also include repairing or adding over 2,000 feet of service laterals that connect houses and businesses from the curb to the public sewer in the street. Most of the sewer pipes are more than 85 years old and are deteriorating due to age.
