Find out what is going on in your neighborhood and with the City of Portland's world renowned neighborhood system.  The Calendar of Events is where you will find information about upcoming neighborhood meetings, community events and volunteer opportunities.  Events are listed by district so you can look at all the events going on in the city or just for your part of town.

    Morrison Bridge closed Sunday for lift span inspection

    The Morrison Bridge will be closed to motor vehicles on Sunday, August 24 from 7 a.m. until as late as 7 p.m. during an inspection of the lift span deck. The inspection is related to problems with deck panels that were installed in 2011 – 2012.

    Fanno and Tryon Creeks Outfall Repair Projects: Construction Ongoing on Fanno Creek project, expected in September on Tryon Creek project

    Environmental Services has begun work on one of two stormwater outfall repair projects in SW Portland. These projects will improve stream health in Fanno and Tryon Creeks by reducing erosion, managing invasive species and restoring native plants.

    Division Streetscape Project Update: August 21, 2014

    Environmental Services and the Portland Bureau of Transportation are working together to improve the Division Street transportation corridor, repair and replace older sewers, add green infrastructure to manage stormwater and make sewers work more efficiently, and improve watershed health.

    NW Everett Street restriping slated for Aug. 23 and 24; will install left-sided bike lane, improve safety

    The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that lane restriping to create safety improvements will require lane closures and temporary parking removal on NW Everett Street on Saturday, Aug. 23 and Sunday, Aug. 24, 6 a.m. through 7 p.m. each day. The work zone will extend from NW Westover Road to NW 14th Avenue.

    Vernon-Sabin-Alameda South Construction Update: August 21, 2014

    Environmental Services is replacing 10,030 feet of public sewer pipes that are between 92 and 104 years old and in poor condition. This project will help protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of costly breaks, leaks, blockages and sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.
