Find out what is going on in your neighborhood and with the City of Portland's world renowned neighborhood system.  The Calendar of Events is where you will find information about upcoming neighborhood meetings, community events and volunteer opportunities.  Events are listed by district so you can look at all the events going on in the city or just for your part of town.

    Legislature approves $3.9 million for Cornelius Pass Road safety improvements

    The Oregon Legislature has approved $3.9 million to fund safety improvements for Multnomah County’s section of NW Cornelius Pass Road. The funding will allow the county to construct improvements that have been identified in a recent planning effort. The improvements -- including realigned curves, shoulder widening, guardrails, vehicle pullouts, and a vehicle-activated beacon -- are being designed this year with construction scheduled to begin in 2017.

    Mayor and Commissioner Fish recruiting members for new Public Utility Board

    Mayor Charlie Hales and Commissioner Nick Fish are recruiting members to serve on the newly formed Public Utility Board (PUB). The deadline to apply is Friday, July 10, 2015.

    National Night Out Information Fair

    Would you like to learn more about National Night Out (NNO) or are you looking for ideas for your neighborhood party? The City of Portland’s Crime Prevention Program is hosting a National Night Out (NNO) Information Fair on Thursday, July 9th in Laurelhurst Park (North of the pond on SE Ankeny) from 5:30-7:30pm.

    At the City Council hearing on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, the City Council will consider amendments to the proposed new City Real Property Disposition Process Policy.

    Balch Consolidated Conduit Support Sewer Replacement Project

    Environmental Service has completed designing a project that will replace and abandon pipes in poor condition and relieve street flooding and basement sewer backups in the area bounded by NW Yeon Avenue, NW 29th Avenue, NW Nicolai Avenue, and NW St. Helens Road. The project includes diverting stormwater to the Balch Consolidation Conduit sewer pipe, and replacing dams in the Balch Outfall pipe to prevent Willamette River water from backing up into the pipe during heavy rain events.
