In July 2011, PIAC implemented a City Council directive to develop a set of questions to accompany all City Council resolutions, ordinances and reports. The new questions provide City Council members with a synopsis of the public input that was considered in the development of the legislation. It also provides greater transparency in a consistent form regarding how the City conducts public involvement.
This webpage provides an overview and background information on the new Impact Statement, line-by-line instructions, answers to frequently asked questions, samples of complete Impact forms, and links to additional resources and support.
If you would like to read the most recent Impact Statements submitted to City Council, visit the Auditor office's website and click on the item number of the Council agenda item you are interested in. The Impact Statement is often one of the last documents in the packet.
As of July 1, 2011 there are new public involvement questions for any items that are submitted to City Council items.
