Annual NNO countdown party on July 9th

Would you like to learn more about National Night Out (NNO)?  Or ways to enliven your yearly neighborhood party? The City of Portland’s Crime Prevention Program is hosting a National Night Out (NNO) Information Fair on Thursday, July 9th in Laurelhurst Park (North of the pond on SE Ankeny) from 5:30-7:30pm. We believe that a connected neighborhood is a stronger one and NNO and block parties foster those connections.

Crime Prevention, Parks Bureau, Noise Control, Portland Bureau of Transportation, neighborhood coalition offices and others will be on hand to answer questions about this annual event. We will offer party ideas for hosts and hold a children’s glider toss competition. The Portland Police and Fire Bureaus and mayor’s office will also join the festivities. In addition to learning how you can participate in NNO or throw a block party this summer, there will be a short awards ceremony honoring volunteers who make a difference in their neighborhoods. Please join us!

We'll give awards to some wonderful community members and agency partners who do so much to make Portland a great place.  See previous years' winners here

Food and drinks will be served.
