Noise Variances Received

We live in a vibrant city with many events.Naturally, some of the events happening around Portland are expected to be louder than our Noise Code allows.  When this happens, a variance needs to be issued. Some of the many variances we process each year include music events like the Waterfront Blues Festival and the Zoo Concert series, among other performances.  Additionally, we process variances for Komen Race for the Cure, Oregon Humane Society's Doggie Dash, Portland Marathon, numerous weddings in our neighborhood parks, National Night Out parties, construction variances, and others.

We want to make sure the residents of Portland have an opportunity to see our variances that have been issued.  If you would like more details about a specific variance, please contact us . Please note: in some cases, the variance will be going before the Noise Review Board, so the variance application is still under review.

Our software has been updated! We now have the ability to sort approved variances into geographic areas.  With exceptions that take place at assorted locations throughout the city, variances will now be listed according to coalition.  We hope this improvement will make it easier to locate varianced events and related conditions.
