    Clinton Green Street and Sewer Construction Update: April 23, 2015

    As part of the Tabor to the River Program, Environmental Services continues construction on the Clinton Green Street and Sewer Project. This project will replace 3,800 feet of sewer pipe installed over 100 years ago, construct 24 green street planters and add two blocks of pervious paving. These improvements will protect public health, property and the environment, and reduce the possibility of sewage releases into streets, homes and businesses.

    Southwest Ventilation Project Update: April 24, 2015

    Construction continues on an Environmental Services project to reduce sewer odors and increase the capacity of the Southwest Parallel Interceptor sewer system to accommodate future growth. The contractor will install about 1,000 feet of 24-inch concrete pipe along SW Taylors Ferry Road, 800 feet of 48-inch concrete pipe along SW Virginia Avenue, and permanent odor controls east of SW Taylors Ferry Road.

    Public comments sought on county Transportation Capital Improvement Plan and Program Update

    Multnomah County welcomes public comments on its proposed Transportation Capital Improvement Plan and Program (CIPP) Biennial Update for Fiscal Years 2014-2018.

    Members sought for Multnomah County Bicycle and Pedestrian Citizen Advisory Committee

    Multnomah County is seeking to fill three vacancies on its Bicycle and Pedestrian Citizen Advisory Committee with new members who live, work or recreate in Multnomah County. Preference will be given for applicants who live in east county or rural unincorporated areas. New members will serve a two-year term beginning July 1, 2015.

    Hawthorne Bridge closed Sunday for maintenance

    The Hawthorne Bridge will be closed to all users this Sunday, April 26 from 7 a.m. until as late as 3 p.m. during annual maintenance work. During the closure crews will grease the counterweight cables and complete other annual maintenance tasks. The lift span will be in the raised position during much of the work. The work is weather dependent and will need to be rescheduled in the event of heavy rain.
