    Overhaul of Disabled Parking Program expands availability and accessibility of parking in downtown core

    The Portland Bureau of Transportation’s annual count of disabled parking placard use in the central city tallied 313 vehicles displaying disabled parking placards, down from 1,033 vehicles the year before. This year’s count is the first since the City’s new Disabled Parking Program took effect on July 1st.

    A new Tree Code and Regulations are coming January 2, 2015!

    The City of Portland is currently offering presentations specifically for Neighborhood Coalitions and Neighborhood Associations on the Citywide Tree Project and Regulations, Title 11 – Trees.

    City Makes Minor Change to Permit Center Hours to Address Workload and Training Needs

    (Portland, OR) Starting Thursday, November 6, 2014, the City’s Development Services Center (Permit Center) and 2nd Floor Permitting Services will begin closing two hours early at 12:00 PM on Thursdays. This change is being implemented to address increasing permit workload, to more consistently meet service level goals, and to provide new employee training.

    Inner NE Sewer Extension Construction Update: October 30, 2014

    As part of the City of Portland’s effort to provide properties with sewer connections that comply with city code, Environmental Services continues construction on the Inner NE Sewer Extension project. This project will also help protect public health, property, and the environment by increasing the capacity of the public sewer system, reducing the potential for basement backups, and reducing the likelihood of emergency maintenance work in the future.
