Find out what is going on in your neighborhood and with the City of Portland's world renowned neighborhood system.  The Calendar of Events is where you will find information about upcoming neighborhood meetings, community events and volunteer opportunities.  Events are listed by district so you can look at all the events going on in the city or just for your part of town.

    SW Stephenson & Hamilton Roadside Swale Construction Update

    Environmental Services is preparing to construct a stormwater management project along SW Stephenson Street between SW 35th Avenue and Boones Ferry Road and SW Hamilton Street between SW 40th and 47th avenues to help protect water quality in Fanno and Tryon creeks. Construction is expected to begin in late summer and will last for several months.

    Ian Cannon named Multnomah County Transportation Division Director

    Ian Cannon has been named to the permanent position of Multnomah County Engineer and Transportation Division Director.

    Lower Powell Green Street and Sewer Repair Project Update: September 1, 2015

    Environmental Services plans to begin construction this winter on a project to replace and repair 4,508 feet of aging sewer pipe. The work will include constructing 22 green street planters and planting trees to absorb rain and reduce stormwater runoff. The project will keep about 1.6 million gallons of stormwater out of sewers annually, increase sewer system capacity and reduce basement backups.

    Updated: Temporary Discontinuation of IVR Credit Card Payment Option and Changes to the BDS Online Permitting System

    This work will also impact the Bureau’s online permitting system for simple trade permits. The system will be unavailable on Friday, September 4, 2015 between 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM while upgrades to the system are in progress.
