Sunday Marathon will impact downtown bridges
Several of Multnomah County’s downtown bridges will be impacted by the Portland Marathon on Sunday, October 7:
Broadway Bridge: The outside eastbound lane and south sidewalk will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the lift span will not open for river traffic from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Morrison Bridge: Westbound lanes and the offramp from Interstate 5 south to the bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Eastbound lanes and the onramp to Interstate 5 and Interstate 84 will remain open, along with the both bridge sidewalks.
Burnside Bridge: The westbound traffic lanes will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until 8 a.m., except for TriMet buses. Eastbound lanes, bridge sidewalks and bicycle lanes will remain open.
Alternate downtown river crossings open include the Ross Island, Hawthorne and Fremont bridges. For information on TriMet bus route detours during the event, visit www.trimet.org/alerts.
