Division Streetscape Project Update: May 30, 2014
Environmental Services and the Portland Bureau of Transportation are working together to improve the Division Street transportation corridor, repair and replace older sewers, add green infrastructure to manage stormwater and make sewers work more efficiently, and improve watershed health.
DEVELOPMENTS OF NOTE
The Division Streetscape Project has progressed to where paving is expected to begin on June 14 between SE 11th Avenue and Cesar Chavez Boulevard (39th Avenue), weather permitting. After paving is completed, permanent striping will be applied. The Portland Noise Office granted Environmental Services a noise variance that will enable the work to occur weekdays and weekends, with some work occurring at night. The first section of paving work will begin on SE Division between 11th and 12th avenues, and will take place during the weekend, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, June 14-15. For the full paving plan, visit the web page at www.portlandoregon.gov/bes/article/491779.
Here is the estimated Division Streetscape construction schedule for the next three weeks. Construction will move from one site to another as crews complete work on each segment. Please be aware that this schedule is subject to change due to conditions underground, weather, traffic impacts, subcontractor schedules and availability of materials.
NOTE: Construction of the Clinton Green Street and Sewer Project will begin in early July. For information on this project please visit the web page at www.portlandoregon.gov/bes/Clinton.
