The City of Portland would like your input on proposed language for a new City policy that will establish consistent, city-government-wide guidelines for how City bureaus identify and dispose of real property that a City bureau no longer needs. The City of Portland owns a lot of property in neighborhoods across the city. Community members, in the past, have said they want to be sure that City considers community priorities when it decides what to do with excess real property.
The draft policy includes provisions for how bureaus will notify neighborhood associations and the community when they are considering selling or transferring City-owned real property to another public or private owner.
