Find out what is going on in your neighborhood and with the City of Portland's world renowned neighborhood system.  The Calendar of Events is where you will find information about upcoming neighborhood meetings, community events and volunteer opportunities.  Events are listed by district so you can look at all the events going on in the city or just for your part of town.

    Street improvements to close lanes on NE Marine Drive from NE 33rd to NE 122nd avenues beginning October 2

    The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that street improvements will require lane closures of NE Marine Drive from NE 33rd Avenue to NE 122nd Avenue from Thursday, October 2, through Friday, October 10, 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. each weekday. Some work may also be done this weekend.

    SE Division Place and 6th Avenue Sewer Repair Project: Proposed Night Work

    Environmental Services – your sewer and stormwater service provider – is designing a project to replace and upsize about 270 feet of public sewer pipes on SE Division Place between SE 6th and SE 7th avenues. The pipes are between 95 and 106 years old and failing due to age. The work will also include replacing storm drains, manholes and service laterals that connect properties from the curb to the public sewer in the street.

    Sellwood-Moreland Sewer Repair Project Night Work Approved at Several Locations

    Environmental Services will begin construction within a few weeks on the Sellwood-Moreland Sewer Repair Project to replace or repair about 25,000 feet of public sewer pipes in your neighborhood that are between 80 and 100 years old and failing due to age. This project will help protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of costly breaks, leaks, blockages and sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.

    Stormwater Management Improvements

    Environmental Services will begin construction in your area this year on a project to modify several sumps, also called underground injection control (UIC) structures. Sumps are vertical, perforated pipes installed underground that collect stormwater runoff from streets and allow water to soak into the ground. This project will remove some sumps and adjust the depth of others to comply with state standards.

    Public Comments Requested on Environmental Services 2014 Code and Rules Cleanup Package

    The City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) is proposing a 2014 Code and Rule Cleanup Package. These changes will enhance the clarity and consistency of BES administered sections of the Portland City Code and Portland Planning Documents. BES proposes code and rule cleanup annually.
