Find out what is going on in your neighborhood and with the City of Portland's world renowned neighborhood system.  The Calendar of Events is where you will find information about upcoming neighborhood meetings, community events and volunteer opportunities.  Events are listed by district so you can look at all the events going on in the city or just for your part of town.

    Clinton Green Street and Sewer Construction Update: August 18, 2014

    As part of the Tabor to the River Program, Environmental Services will begin construction on the Clinton Green Street and Sewer Project next week. Over the next year, this project will replace 3,800 feet of sewer pipe installed over 100 years ago, construct 24 green street planters and add two blocks of pervious paving. These improvements will protect public health, property and the environment, and reduce the possibility of sewage releases into streets, homes and businesses.

    Portland Sunday Parkways celebrates getting active, getting outside in Southeast Portland this weekend

    The City of Portland Sunday Parkways presented by Kaiser Permanente will host the fourth Sunday Parkways of the season August 24 in Southeast Portland. Southeast Portlanders and thousands of others are expected to turn out to bicycle, walk, stroll, roll and dance along the seven miles of traffic-free streets.

    Paving will impact traffic on Northwest hill roads August 18 - 28

    Several roads in the rural hills northwest of Portland will be paved on weekdays from August 18 - 28. The work will require one lane to be closed. Flaggers and a pilot vehicle will be used to direct two-way traffic on the remaining open lane. Travelers should expect delays and use alternate routes if possible.

    Woodlawn-King Soil Sampling

    Environmental Services is designing three large-scale sewer projects in North and Northeast Portland neighborhoods to replace or repair approximately 53,300 feet of public sewer pipes that are on average 90 years old and failing due to age. This is the equivalent of 10 miles of sewer pipes. The three adjacent project areas will include construction in Piedmont, Humboldt, Woodlawn and King neighborhoods plus a few blocks in Overlook.

    Kenton Sewer Project Will Begin Construction Soon

    Environmental Services will begin construction within a few weeks on the Kenton Sewer Repair Project. This project will replace about 7,000 feet of public sewer pipes that are between 80 and 90 years old and failing due to age. The work will include repairing or replacing about 2,500 feet of existing service laterals that connect houses and businesses from the curb to the public sewer in the street.
