Enjoy the amazing talent and expertise of the CMC instructors in concert.  Thanks to generous sponsorship from Marley Brown Lumber Service and other local business sponsors -- as well as the players who are donating their time, and the volunteers assisting with the event -- all proceeds go to support the Center’s need-based scholarship program for music students.

Sunday afternoon, May 4, at 4:00 pm. Tickets: $30 families (children from age 6), $15 individual, $7 student. Patrons get reserved seating for $25 each. Purchase online using the "register" link above, or call 503-823-3177.  Note: family ticket price not available online - please call or stop by the CMC office.

Performers include: Clarisse Atcherson, violin; Heather Blackburn, cello; Chris Cox, clarinet (guest); Mario Diaz, guitar (guest); David Eby, cello (guest); Chris Fotinakis, violin; Maria Garcia, piano; Ellen Kjelgaard Godula, piano; Lynda Hess, flute; Frank Kenny, bassoon (guest); ; Jasmine Law, voice; Heather Mastel-Lipson, violin; Douglas Aaron Nation, cello; Liz Peyton, violin; Michelle Rahn, viola; Gulchin Tarabus, piano.


Music selections include a Brahms Piano Trio, Astor Piazolla’s “Histoire Du Tango” for violin & guitar, works by Bach, Gunou, Pärt, Stamitz, and others.  (Program subject to change.)


The Community Music Center (CMC) is a Portland Parks & Recreation facility in partnership with an all-volunteer nonprofit organization CMC, Inc., that raises money to help subsidize tuition fees at the school.  It serves families across thePortland area and supports those with limited economic means by increasing access to music performances and educational opportunities.
