With citywide canopy cover steadily increasing and currently at 30%, the Urban Forest Management Plan objective to increase tree canopy cover to 35-40% is closer in reach than ever. Citizens, nonprofit organizations, and City bureaus are working together to plant trees in order to reach this goal and enjoy the benefits that come with broad canopy coverage.
