Join Portland Parks & Recreation and Willamette Riverkeeper for an evening of canoeing out to Ross Island and helping to improve wildlife habitat on the island by removing invasive weeds, picking up litter and planting native plants (activities vary with the seasons). Bring your own canoe or kayak or reserve a place on one of our boats at no cost. No paddling experience necessary. Canoes, PFDs, paddles, and instruction will be provided. This event is free but RSVP IS REQUIRED. Boats launch from the Willamette Park Boat Ramp (SW Macadam & SW Nebraska) which is accessible via the greenway bike trail from downtown and TriMet bus line 35. Please contact Marissa Dorais, Willamette River Stewardship Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (503) 823-7016 to reserve your place today.
