| 2 Cool Camp, age 24-35 months Parent Welcome Letter Available in May |
| Let us be your child’s stepping stone before ‘big kid’ classes! Together, we build friendships, sing songs, create masterpieces & play active games. Group settings foster social & emotional growth which is so vital for the little ones. A gentle way to venture out of the ‘nest’, perhaps for the first time! |

Program Details
- Small staff-to-camper ratio at 2 staff to 10 children!
- Campers do NOT need to be potty trained; please make a potty attempt just before camp.
- Each day, please bring a sealed bag, labeled with your child's name, that includes: full extra set of clothing, diapers or pull ups, wipes, a water bottle & snack.
- Please apply sunscreen to your child each day before coming to camp as we try to play outside whenever possible. The outside area is gated & contained.

| Preschool Sports Mini Camps, age 3-5 Parent Welcome Letter Available in May |
Everyone is a winner when they get involved in healthy activities. Make new friends while working on skills in a variety of athletics & games. It’s time to PLAY!
- Baseball Diamond Dandies: Discover America’s past time! Develop hand-eye coordination & motor skills as you gain basic skills of the game. Curriculum incorporates fun & age-appropriate games, drills, & activities that will help teach, motivate & encourage your child in the art of baseball.
- Soccer for Little Kickers: Warm up drills build skills & confidence for young players. Prepare for action as the ball moves down the field. Ball handling, starting & stopping basics, dribbling & following directions combine to make the goal.
- Sports for All Sorts!: Come on & PLAY! No time to get bored with this hodge-podge of group games & exciting activities. Improve listening skills, hand-eye coordination & teamwork while enjoying the diversity of creative challenges.

- 45 minute sports classes that meet Monday-Friday.
- Baseball, Soccer & Sports for All Sorts!
- Campers should wear closed toed shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and have sunscreen applied before they arrive.
- In case of inclement weather, Preschool Sports Mini Camps will be cancelled for the day and you will be notified between 7-7:30am.

- Please apply sunscreen at home before coming to camp each day. We try to play outside as much as possible, weather permitting. Be sure to talk to your camp director about specifics of possible water play days and if extra sunscreen will be needed.

| Summer Sprouts Camp, age 4-5 Parent Welcome Letter Available in May |
| School’s out, where to next? Get outdoors & explore nature’s classroom! From underneath our feet all the way up to the stars, look for animal habitats, listen for bird songs, plant seeds & watch them grow, taste what’s in season & smell beautiful flowers. Gain lessons in the senses & sciences from Mother Nature. The sky’s the limit! |

Program Details
- Staff-to-camper ratio is 2:12.
- IMPORTANT! This camp does NOT meet at the Southwest Community Center. It is held entirely off-site at the Gabriel Park Community Garden located off SW 41st & Canby Street. Drop-off & Pick-up are at the community garden.
- Campers should wear closed toed shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and have sunscreen applied before they arrive. Camp will run in light rain. Please dress in layers for cool mornings, with warming temps as the day goes on!
- Each day, please bring a backpack that your child can carry, labeled with his/her name, that includes: a full extra set of clothes, water bottle, snack, lunch, and a wide-brimmed hat is a great idea! Please send your child in comfy clothes that you don't mind getting wet/dirty/messy.
- INCLEMENT WEATHER for Summer Sprouts: If NOAA forecasts heavy rain or excessive heat, Summer Sprouts will be cancelled for the day, you will be notified between 7-7:30am, and your account will be credited for the day. We rarely cancel; we have a cool forest canopy for those rare hotter days & in the event of light rain! IF there is space in an indoor camp that is age appropriate for your child, there is a possibility of joining that camp for the day. Please call 503-823-2840 to check availability. We apologioze in advance if we are unable to accomodate extra children indoors and must cancel. Credits are not given for light rain days when camp is held.

- In addition to the Multi-purpose room, camp uses the outdoor terrace at the Vermont St building entrance and Hitchen Field across the SWCC Parking Lot for games & activities.
- Camp generally participates in Slip-n-Slide up on the hill on Fridays at the end of camp, weather permitting. Please be sure to check in with your camp director for specifics!

| Fit & Fun for Everyone, age 5 & 6 Parent Welcome Letter Available in May |
| Jump-start your summer! Be active through sports, games, & play! Raise your child’s self esteem, while they learn how to establish good eating & exercise habits necessary to lead a healthy lifestyle. Camp will promote physical fitness while incorporating fun activities that motivate, teach & encourage youngsters. |
