Hi everyone! Happy Friday and happy October!  I hope you all have been enjoying the beautiful fall we've been having, I know I sure have.

I recently started cycling for my commute so dry weather is welcome anytime.

On a ride home from work the other night, while concurring the ever challenging Vermont hill, I started thinking about how riding up this hill everyday is going to be impossible. I thought "You're going to have to ride up this hill 5 days a week, FOREVER!" And I almost stopped right in the middle and gave up. But then I remembered to live in the moment and to take it one day at a time. Also instead of thinking about a lifetime of hill riding as a burden I started to think of being able to climb it as a gift. A gift from a conditioned body that I have been working on, one day at a time, for over a decade. Our body can do amazing things for us if we take the time to prime and prep it. It's a long and fabulous life and our body can work well for us along our journey if we treat it right. All it takes is a little commitment one day at a time. Don't look at the big picture, take snap shots along the way. Do something active today and see how good you feel right after, tomorrow, and the next day. We owe it to ourselves to treat our body well. So the next time you're thinking about skipping the gym, remember it's one day and one workout at a time! Over a life time, a little each day goes a long way.
