Chamber Music for Youth

  • CMC Chamber Music for Youth

For intermediate & advanced string, wind, and piano students

The Community Music Center's Chamber Music Program for Youth is Portland's only year-long (school year with optional summer program) chamber music experience.  It caters to intermediate and advanced string, wind, and piano students.  Groups meet weekly at times that work for everyone's schedule during the school year, and for a two-week camp in the summer.  Each session is professionally coached; instructors are chosen for their high-level chamber music knowledge and experience from the CMC performing artist faculty roster.

The CMC Chamber Program for Youth is funded in part by the Naomi Blumberg Fund or Chamber Music Education at the Oregon Community Foundation, an endowment of CMC Inc.  Scholarships are available on a financial need basis. For more information on the non-profit organization and how it supports PP&R music programs, see About CMC on the home page.
