Teen Naturalist Team

Each summer, the Teen Naturalist Team (TNT) teaches urban ecology to approximately 1,000 children at community center and SUN school camps.

What is TNT?

The Teen Naturalist Team (TNT) is a group of six smart and fun loving teen naturalists who are preparing for careers in education and/or environmental science. TNT members research urban ecology, develop curriculum, and teach children about nature through games, explorations, and hands-on science in parks and schoolyards. Members have been trained in environmental science and leadership through our rigorous GRUNT program. TNT is a part of PP&R's Youth Conservation Crew.

What are TNT lessons like?

Campers will get up close and personal with nature through outdoor games, hands-on science, and small group explorations of nature. Our lessons are dynamic, active, and designed to get your child excited about nature in the city! All lessons are outdoors. This summer we will discover animals, plants, and other living things in our parks.
