Drop-in Big Chess Daily - Noon to 6:30pm
Play with 25" chess pieces on the 16'x16', built-in chess board at the south end of the park! All ages and abilities welcome for a super-sized, drop-in experience! Occasionally, Big Chess will not be available due to other events in the park or it may be relocated to another location in the park. Please note, occassionally chess hours are shortened.

Get an insiders view of Oregon Ballet Theatre as they rehearse for their 2013 season in Director Park!
The company and apprentice dancers will showcase classes, demonstrations for the public to watch and participate. Come and see what a typical work week is like for the dancers as they conduct class and rehearse for a world premiere ballet and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream.'
