Hi everyone and Happy Friday!! I hope you all have been finding ways to enjoy the beautiful weather we've been having and of course the trainer in me hopes it's been active fun! Today I wanted to talk to you about food. I know most of us feel like we have a handle on, know what we are consuming, and how many calories our food contains, but do we really?! The truth of the matter is we all tend to underestimate how many calories we eat and overestimate how many we burn. So today I wanted to share this chart with you, from Women's Health magazine, to spell it out for you in black and white. Next time you go to eat the donut that you can devoir in less than a minute, remember how long it will take your body to burn the calories that tasty treat has, and ask yourself if it is really that good? A decadent splurge every now and then is always okay but don't sabotage your gym time with constant indulgence consumption! Let's all enjoy this food for thought and have a great weekend!
