Join us Saturday, June 21st to learn the basics of tree ID and create some tree-inspired artwork!
Natasha Lipai, AmeriCorps Tree Plan Coordinator at Urban Forestry, will be hosting a tree identification class and subsequent art session for autistic teens/young adults and their families. The goal is to provide a space for parents and their kids to bond over an educational yet easy-to-learn activity that they may both enjoy.
Participants will learn basic tree ID concepts and practice on the trees of Alberta Park. The workshop would end with an opportunity for the kids to artistically express what they have learned or what they enjoy about trees through creating their own artwork. Snacks, tree ID books, and art supplies will be provided.
Please RSVP here! For questions, contact Natasha at firstname.lastname@example.org.
