Fall training begins for Portland NET program

Fall NET training begins for Portland NET programLast week, PBEM began its fall 2012 Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET) training sessions with a group of 40 students interested in learning how they can respond in a disaster and care for their families and neighbors. Over the course of eight weeks, students will receive hands-on training and learn skills such as small fire suppression, disaster medicine, and search and rescue. Trainees are expected to complete the program in early November.

The NET classes currently underway are full. However, anyone can take the free online level 1 NET training. Click here to access the online course.
