211info helps community members navigate the maze of health and community service offerings with specially trained information and referral specialists, who are skilled at locating and providing information about good resources to contact for help with a wide variety of problems and needs. African American Alliance for Homeownership (AAAH)* 

AAAH provides HUD-certified foreclosure prevention and loss mitigation counseling by appointment only.

Community Housing Resource Center (CHRC)*

CHRC offers classes and one-on-one counseling, and their website is full of useful information about steps to prevent foreclosure. Counseling services are only for Washington residents, though Oregon residents can attend their foreclosure prevention workshops. Bilingual (Spanish/English) services available.

Deparment of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS, State of Oregon)

The DCBS Foreclosure Help website offers information on the federal Making Home Affordable Program, the step-by-step process to obtain a loan modification, Oregon's foreclosure laws, and links to HUD-approved foreclosure prevention counselors.

Hacienda Community Development Corporation (CDC)*

Hacienda provides HUD-certified bilingual (Spanish/English) foreclosure prevention counseling. Bilingual (Spanish/English) services available.

Homeownership Preservation Foundation

Call 1-888-995-HOPE (4673) to speak with a HUD-certified mortgage default prevention counselor, free of charge. Their counselors are trained to set up a plan of action designed just for you and your situation, and their website is full of useful information.

Making Home Affordable

A program of the Departments of the Treasury & Housing and Urban Development U.S. Treasury and HUD, and an important part of the Obama Administration's comprehensive plan to stabilize the U.S. housing market, Making Home Affordable offers a range of solutions designed to help homeowners get mortgage relief and avoid foreclosure. 

Open Door Counseling Center*

The Open Door Counseling Center provides HUD-certified foreclosure prevention and loss mitigation counseling. Bilingual (Spanish/English) services available.

Oregon Homeowner Stabiliation Initiative (OHSI)

OHSI offers several programs that help struggling Oregonians avoid foreclosure while they work to regain jobs and income. Find information about mortgage payment and loan preservation assistance.
