'Cultivating Racial Equity Mindsets'

Portland Housing Bureau helped convene the Coordinating Committee to End Homelessness’ (CCEH) “Cultivating Racial Equity Mindsets” training on Feb. 28.

Approximately 200 members of the faith, nonprofit and local government communities attended the training, facilitated by Dante J. James and Koffi Dessou from the City of Portland’s Office of Equity and Human Rights.

Attendees discussed the importance of a focus on racial equity; barriers to equity; the relationship between power and equity; and approaches and practices to promoting and achieving racial equity.
