Portland is strongest when everyone has equal access to a safe, affordable place to call home in an opportunity-rich neighborhood near public transit, strong schools, quality health care and Portland’s many amenities. The City has taken bold steps to increase housing opportunity and eliminate disparities for protected classes, and has launched a multi-faceted public awareness campaign.
Please join us for a Fair Housing Proclamation presentation with Sara K. Pratt, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing & Equal Opportunity at HUD. Ms. Pratt has worked as an attorney and fair housing and civil rights expert for more than 30 years.
At 9:30 a.m., join Ms. Pratt, Mayor Charlie Hales, Commissioner Nick Fish, Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum and Oregon U. S. Attorney Amanda Marshall, along with others fair housing experts, for a Fair Housing Proclamation presentation in City Council Chambers, 1221 S.W. 4th Ave.
Travel: Portland City Hall is easily accessible by MAX Green and Yellow lines and Central City TriMet bus lines 1, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14. It is also walkable from the Portland Streetcar stop on Southwest 10th and Jefferson.
