Dolores says: “I’ve been very happy here and I am thankful to be here.”
Everyone deserves the sense of community that comes with having a place to call home. Originally from Georgia, Dolores, 67, has lived in Oregon for 40 years and at Chaucer Court for 16. A survivor of cancer, Dolores had support from her neighbors and managers at Chaucer Court when she was ill. Today, she remarks on the convenience of her downtown location, where she can take the Portland Streetcar to errands and medical appointments. Dolores says there’s nowhere she could live that would be as convenient as Chaucer Court.
