The programs, workshops and classes are inclusive and offered to any youth who identifies as female, or whose gender expression is female, fluid or non conforming. Learn More!
Throughout the year, GirlStrength offers nine week programs for youth in grades 5-8. We are currently launching a new high school program for grades 9-12. GirlStrength shares the same philosophy as its sister program, WomenStrength, and offers empowerment self-defense classes and personal safety workshops all over Portland. Since 2008, GirlStrength has trained approximately 6,500 girls and 200 boys in personal safety and violence prevention techniques. Request a program
