GirlStrength Safety Workshops

 

GirlStrength Safety workshops are fun and interactive:

 

  • Learn why being aware is so important!
  • Learn what your intuition is and why it can help keep you safe.
  • Learn how to use your voice to set boundaries.
  • Learn the pros and cons of various options for ending an attack.
  • Learn why your self-esteem is important to your self-defense.
  • Learn physical skills to defend yourself.

 

GirlStrength workshops are designed to:

 

  • Empower girls to feel more confident!
  • Help girls identify what situations might put them at risk, and then explore their options for dealing with this situation.
  • Build a strong community of girls.
  • Open discussion about topics about self-defense topics.
  • Demystify fear and turn it into action!

 

GirlStrength Safety Workshops

 

  • Are free
  • Are subject to availability of an instructor for the date requested
  • Are available to any schools and private groups
  • Are for girls and young women ages 10-17
  • Are taught by trained GirlStrength instructors
  • Optimal length for a workshop is 2-4 hours (offered in one or two sessions)
