Are you a writer and do you want to use or develop your skills to help reduce violence in our communities?
Help us expand and develop a new program for boys. We need volunteers who like to work in a team and can assist with grant writing and research, and the overall operations of a boys program. We provide candidates with work experience opportunities, internships, capstone projects and in the past have partnered with numerous organizations such as WorkSource, Portland Community College and Portland State University.
Do you love organizing parties and events?
If so, then this is the perfect project for you. We need a project manager to co-ordinate our 2014 New Volunteer Graduation. Each year this special ceremony honoring our new volunteer instructors is held at the Portland Justice Center. The 2014 graduation ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 30th, 6-9 pm.
The project manager works with a team of volunteers and staff to coordinate food, donations and gifts. This is a great opportunity to work with employees of the Portland Police Bureau and to network with other volunteers in our organization.
