DAVID KALAMAFONI

On November 28, 1988, at approximately 11:30 pm, David Kalamafoni left a party to walk to his car near the intersection of NE Holman and 17th Avenue. David, a 17-year-old African-American man, stopped to talk to a friend in a nearby vehicle when gunshots were heard nearby. David was then driven to his residence by the same friend whom he had stopped to speak to. David’s father called 911 and he was transported to the hospital where he was declared deceased. Autopsy results revealed that David Kalamafoni had died from a gunshot wound.

Mr.  Kalamafoni was reported to be a known gang member. Many individuals at the party reported hearing gunshots, but no one could give a description of the shooter.
