On May 19, 1980, a young girl was walking on the 100 block of NE Sacramento at approximately 8:00 in the morning when she discovered someone lying in the weeds of a vacant lot on the south side of the street. She ran to a nearby house for someone to call 911. Police responded to find Narciso Fierro, a 42-year-old Hispanic man, deceased in the vacant lot. An autopsy revealed that Mr. Fierro had died from apparent stab wounds.

Narciso Fierro was homeless at the time of his death and was known to be a heavy drinker. He lived and frequented bars in Old Town and the lower east Burnside street area. Mr. Fierro was wanted for auto theft at the time of his murder. Mr. Fierro was last seen at approximately 8:00 pm the night before near the lower east Burnside area.

If you or anyone you know has any information regarding the murder of Narciso Fierro, you are encouraged to contact CrimeStoppers at 503-823-HELP.
