WINSTON MOTON

At approximately 7:37 pm on January 31, 2004, an unidentified African-American man shot and killed Winston Moton on the sidewalk of NW Couch Street in between 5th and 6th Avenue. Mr. Moton, a 29-year-old African-American man, had been talking with several other men when one pulled out a handgun.

Winston Moton was a known street-level crack cocaine dealer and occasionally worked for Labor Ready. The unidentified African-American man has been described as 25 to 40 years of age, medium to stocky build with a short afro wearing a dark coat.

Witnesses may contact Cold Case Homicide Unit investigators directly at (503) 823-0400. To remain anonymous, witnesses may provide information through Crime Stoppers of Oregon.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
