On August 8, 2009, at 8:00 p.m., Officers responded to 614 SW Nevada Street, Apartment A, on a welfare check. Upon arrival, the Officers were unable to make contact with the tenant, Gregory Allen Toeniskoetter, at his front door. Mr. Toeniskoetter was a 42-year-old, white male. Mr. Toeniskoetter’s friend said he hadn’t heard from him in four days and was concerned about his welfare. Officers were able to enter Mr. Toeniskoetter’s apartment where they found him deceased lying on the floor. It is believed that this could have been the result of a robbery gone bad. The cause of death was ruled homicidal violence.
