Portland Police Investigate Body Found in Johnson

The Medical Examiner's Office has completed an autopsy on the body located in Johnson Creek this morning and has ruled it an accidental drowning. The deceased man has been identified as 45-year-old Robert Merle Mulligan.

This morning at 7:55 a.m., Portland Police Officers responded to a 911 call of a body that was found in Johnson Creek near the area of SE 42nd and Harney. Fire Bureau divers have also responded and are attempting to retrieve the body. At this time, Portland Police Homicide detectives are responding to the scene to assist in the investigation. The 911 call was generated by a citizen who saw the body in the creek.
