Portland Police Traffic Investigators cited the truck driver, 31-year-old Kevin Mitchell of Albany, Oregon, for Failure to Drive within a Lane and Impeding Traffic. The investigation found that Mitchell lost control of his truck due to inattention and hit the center median causing the truck to flip. Mitchell was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries.

Nothing further.

This morning, Thursday October 28, 2010 at approximately 4:40 a.m., Portland Police officers responded to northbound I-5 at Southwest Terwilleger Boulevard on the report of a semi-truck and trailer overturned on the freeway. Officers arrived and found the vehicle on it's side blocking all but the left lane of traffic. The driver is uninjured.

Traffic is getting by in the left lane as police await a tow truck and a crane to remove the vehicle. Clean-up will take some time as the truck is leaking some diesel fuel from it's gas tank and will need to be cleaned up. The trailer is not leaking any sort of hazardous material.

Drivers are asked to be patient and seek alternate routes as traffic will be affected for some time.
